Frequently Asked Questions
What is Tidal Network?
Tidal Network is an enterprise of the Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska. We work to connect Southeast Alaska communities by expanding access to affordable broadband internet and providing digital literacy training.
With support from federal and state grant programs, we are building broadband infrastructure in unserved and underserved communities, while helping to lower the cost of high-speed internet for households.
We also manage the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) 2.5 GHz spectrum
award and partner with Tribes, Alaska Native corporations, tribal health organizations, municipalities, and businesses to deliver localized solutions.
Our mission is to close the digital divide by ensuring all generations can access technology, training, and reliable broadband.
Why choose Tidal Network?
Our priority is community service. We focus on connecting households and communities that have historically had little or no internet access.
Customers choose Tidal Network because we provide:
- Affordable service plans designed for families and communities
- Professional installation and training to get you connected quickly
- Local 24/7 help desk support with real people, not recordings
- Digital literacy resources to help every generation build skills and confidence online
Where is service available and who qualifies?
Tidal Network service is currently available in Wrangell, Alaska. We are working to bring additional communities online as broadband construction continues.
All residents who live within our service areas are eligible for Tidal Network broadband. We also partner with Tribes, municipalities, schools, and health organizations to expand service where it is needed most.
